If I wasn't planning to keep my XR1200 forever, that could be my next bike.

Not a problem, maybe the opposite? How about a sportbike?

Larger displacement cruisers, any new ones? The last few issues of cycle world, motorcyclist, etc. have been about 250cc bikes. Not to knock them but i'm over 200lbs and ride almost exclusively on the highway. There is the new fjr? How about a Boss Hoss?

Interesting, I never get time to read the rags out there. I used to subscribe to Motorcyclists and Cycle World and while it was nice to have paper in my hand, I found there reviews to be a little biased based on the advertising they were carrying that month.

I think the smaller bikes are really making a comeback and that's IMO thanks to the economy. Over in more Eastern parts of the world, a 125cc Honda is a large-sized bike don't forget. We of course have a different need for our bikes, but our bikes sizes are as big engined as some cars over there!
