Wow. I've watched the video now a few times and I'm with you, that's amazingly too close. (That isn't you though right as it looks like it's the UK and your from Ontario?) Amazing the rider is ok and it didn't hit their hand or the bars or anything worse.
Those that don't know UK that's the drivers side so they are just inches away from the rider as well.

The cage was on the yellows and it looked like mirror to mirror contact. It is nice to have a full face helmet when your own mirror violently detaches and slams into the side of your face.
