Andrea and I won a big ol' Harley-Davidson BBQ last night at bike night! We have been going to the Republic HD Bike night now for 9 months (it's every month) as we know some staff there now, they have great free food and a live band, plus lots of bikes to look at. http://www.republichd.com/

So last night, they called my name for the grand prize!
Well, after calling around, I couldn't find a dealer with my OEM tire (Pirelli Sport Demon) in stock, so I checked the online stores in our TMW guide and ordered one from Bike Bandit http://www.jdoqocy.com/click-538038-1174801 which from what I read it will be here in about 3 days. My dealer is willing to install it (as he couldn't get one for 2 weeks) so I'm in luck there.
I was about to go with option #2 but this way I can keep the same set of tires on the bike with minimal down time.
For what it's worth, officially you're not supposed to do it, but I've had good luck with patching tires using thread type patches. Considering my weight and riding habits, I am NOT easy on tires, and the patches have lasted just as long as the tire itself.
