I dunno I kinda like em but I am gonna say the faithful are probably going bonkers but it's a numbers thing, and directed at the Indian market and probably China and Europe as well.

Aren't these basically the new Buell Blast? Something to bring in less experienced, younger, and/or less affluent riders? Good marketing move, haven't seen enough of the bikes to have an opinion of them.

Re: Harley-Davidson's New Steet Line - Street 500 and Street
It reminds me of a cross between the street rod and a the XR1200. Harley could have a real winner here if they ride as good as they look. The price is quite reasonable and comparable to other entry level cruisers.
I think Harley finally realized that the 883 while being fairly cheap, wasn't particularly friendly to new riders.

As far as I can see or know they are nothing even remotely like the blast completely different design. But what I know aint much. Blast is basically 1/2 a sportster motor meaning single cyl. air cooled these new machines are twin and water cooled more like a honda shadow.

I think that although the wanna-be side of the faithful will hate them, they will sell a lot at the prices they are quoting.

Nothing wrong with it that a set of loud pipes and some chrome can't fix.

Cosidering in India alone if they sold a machine to .003% of the population they would move something like 300,000 machines quite a bit more than HD puts out in an entire year.
