My Moto Guzzi V7. Does it smell like pizza or is it just me?

Just wanted to let you all know, Mike is truly crazy about his V7. This past Monday it was horrible weather - pouring rain and barely above 35°F / 2°C and yet he wanted to take his bike out to his Monday evening game night. The funny thing is, when I got home from work with the car he said "oh good you're home now, I can take the car."

@ 3000 miles, no issues and going strong.

I am surprised for an air-cooled engine that it doesn't require much of a warm up to get going in +3°C weather! Yes, it's been that cold here in Texas for the past few weeks... amazingly cold and I'm out riding still.

Turned 3,000 miles on the Guzzi and we just passed 10k on the 'stang two days ago. It's an anniversary week for sure!

Drag race

So, in a impromptu* moment, I had a little stoplight GP drag race there with a Yamaha Raider 1900 vs my Moto Guzzi. I didn't expect to win or even stay within a reasonable difference, but my little Moto Guzzi shocked me (and the Raider rider) by staying right behind him till 3rd gear when the Raider ever so slightly started pulling away (at which time I decided to back off as I didn't want to go THAT fast). And yes, the Raider was WOT as well as I was (I even hit the rev limiter in 2nd, I'm sure I could have won..lol).

Amazing for a little bike with "adequate" horsepower as it was a 750cc vs 1900cc V-Twin drag!

Go Guzzi!
