Morgan has been doing it longer, better, with more class and style for decades.

You bring up a lot of interesting points of discussion...zombiekatzu wrote:Gotta agree with the rest. Government licensing as a motorcycle doesn't make it one. I mean, would you give 'the wave' to one of these as it passed?

Would you (you being 3rd party) wave at:
1. Scooters?
2. Can-Am Spyders?
3. Trikes? (like the Harley-Davidson Tri-Glide)
4. Motorcycles with sidecars?
Just lumping them into the area of "might or might not" ... Could be quite interesting here.

+1 what you said.JackoftheGreen wrote:Yeah...
I give the Spyder a lot of latitude, most of you know I've voted it either Cool or Awesome every time it's come up. But you sit ON a Spyder, and control it with bars, and some sort of hand throttle (I admit I've never learned the particulars of the Spyder), and it's got a saddle and bags and I just SEE a kind of motorcycle with the Spyder.
This thing is different. It's a roadster, plain and simple. SXS seating, steering wheel, stick -- or maybe a slap? -- shift and obviously pedal operated throttle, brake and clutch. The legal niche that allows the Spyder to be registered and insured like a motorcycle just shouldn't apply to this -- three wheeled or otherwise. So for that reason, this just has to be a Fail.
That said, as anything other than a motorcycle, this machine is absolutely CHERRY! It looks like Fun with a capital F, like Fun wearing a miniskirt and high heels. What an insane rush it must be to flog that beast through a canyon.
Indeed!jstark47 wrote:As a motorcycle, it's a fail. Not a motorcycle.
As a vehicle it's kind of cool, though probably not very useful. And I agree with Ceemes, Morgan does this better.
