Re: Discuss: Modulating motorcycle headlights...good or bad?
They drive me crazy when someone right behind me has them. My wife has threatened to get them, and I told her that meant she'd either have to lead (she doesn't like to) or we wouldn't be riding together any more!!

I've seen them driving. They are annoying.
In oncoming traffic they can be blinding for
old guys like me. I tend to avoid night driving
(riding) already with all the misaligned headlights
out there.

I'm all for visibility, but they're annoying as hell.

They maybe annoying, but truth be told I've never really noticed. However anything that wake and grabs the attention of a dozy oncoming motorist can't be all bad. Especially if it cuts down of the so-called SMIDSYT (sorry matey, I didn't see you there) crashes.
Always ask why.

I'll have to agree with ceemes on this, if it prevents an accident, I'm all for it. I believe they are illegal to run at night so not an issue in that regard here...

Re: Discuss: Modulating motorcycle headlights...good or bad?
I've only see a one or two bikes I remember having them and they indeed are odd, in fact, I think there is something wrong with their alternator or charging system...lol.
I prefer to run the very bright H4 blubs (same wattage type) and run Sylvania Silverstars on my bikes. https://www.sylvania.com/en-us/products ... rstar.aspx in my bikes.
Although my car lights are WAAAAY more powerful (HID) than my H4s.

Re: Discuss: Modulating motorcycle headlights...good or bad?
Like Gray Thumper says, way too annoying. Riding towards someone with one of those drives me nuts. If there was one that used a lower intensity bulb, maybe with a yellow lens cover that would be better, but I don't think I would get one though.
