Bennetts Suzuki and Tommy Bridewell are aiming to be the Showdown ‘spoilers’ this weekend and will be aiming for more podium finishes at Donington Park and round 10 of the MCE British Superbike Championship.
Bridewell saw his own hopes of making it into the Showdown dashed last weekend at Oulton Park, after a crash in race one. Now racing without any pressure, Bridewell is hoping to upset the order in the final three rounds of the season, by putting his GSX-R1000 on the podium and taking points away from the Showdown contenders.
Tommy Bridewell:
“We can just go out there and enjoy racing our motorbike now. It would have been nice to have been in the Showdown, of course, but now the pressure's off we can relax a little bit more. Before the season's out my goal is to put the Bennetts Suzuki on the top-step of the podium. The team has worked so hard, we've got the speed, and we've come close, and by trying to do that in every race, hopefully we can spoil things for some of the others at the front.”
