Kawasaki Motors UK has officially launched Kawasaki Rider Training Services – a UK wide network of schools and approved training bodies offering professional riding training to industry leading standards.
A number of schools and training bodies are already approved and more are signed up to the scheme, while they remain independent, they’re officially endorsed and branded by Kawasaki. Each of the facilities are working to standards set by the MCIAC – the Motorcycle Industry Accreditation Centre – and have a fleet of new Kawasaki machinery.
Kawasaki British Supersport rider, Mason Law, has recently passed his test through KRTS, taking an intensive course to gain his motorcycle road licence with Ipswich Rider Training Ltd.
20-year-old Mason said: “I really enjoyed my time during the training. It was certainly different to what I am used to, which is going round circuits as fast as I can, but my instructor Rob was patient and went through everything clearly. It was a pleasure to ride the ER6-n. I passed module one with no minors and got just two in module two.”
Ros Jones, Director of Ipswich Training Ltd, said: “Mason was one of the first to go through our Kawasaki Training scheme and what a model student. He performed some amazing emergency stops despite the wet weather and soon got to grips with the U-turns on the ER6. He listened and applied what he was taught and his concentration was always promptly restored with a coffee! We were sorry to see him go.”
Mark Spiller, Kawasaki’s Marketing and Brand Development Manager commented: “This is a very exciting project for Kawasaki and Industry leading. Our plan is to have around 60 KRTS Training Schools associated or affiliated to our dealer network within three years. These centres will offer the highest standard of service and a first class customer experience. There will also be a package of customer benefits included – we’ll be announcing further details on this shortly.”
