Your wife has a quit-claim deed. The first thing you need to do is get the property back in her name. You don't need a lawyer to do that. My experience isn't exactly the same as you describe, but i've been in similar situations. Get the guy some jail time and rent the property. Further, this is justification to have him removed leagallyfrom the property completely and it will be hers outright. don't consider this a small thing. You actually have alot of money riding on this. I've owned rental property for almost 20 years and they have been the smartest financial move I have ever made.

I can't believe he's managed to get awy with that at all - surely it's a clear cut case of fraud, meaning jail time for him..?
