Drive-thru on a Motorcycle

#1 Unread post by totalmotorcycle »

I have been really tempted to go through the drive thou on my motorcycle sometimes.

Has anyone tried it before? Do they serve you? Can you triger the "May I take your order" machine?

Mike.

I've done it many times, Mike. Most often it's at Wendy's down the street from work. The bike trips all the sensors just fine. I have received a few odd looks from the employees but nobody ever questions it. Just be sure to prop open your saddle bag or have the top portion unzipped so you can slip everything in real quick and be on your way.

I've always wanted to. There's only one fast-food joint that's open 24 hours in town and it's only the drive-through. It'd be a little difficult to juggle my wallet, the change, the food and my backpack all at once, though. Saddlebags would be a godsend in that situation.

I always wear a helmet, so I can't imagine them hearing me over my bike with a muffled voice. I have to scream in those things when I'm in my car just so they get the order right

I go through the drive-through all the time. Just bring a back pack, and shout at the speaker if you have a full face helmet.

Oh, and you don't always set their gear off. Give them two minutes, then order at the window.

Man I miss drive-thru

The only drive thru here in Naples is a little piazza downtown where the mafia has set up a drive-thru drug-dealing operation LOL.

Never tried it on a bike, but I will say you get some strange looks if you back through one in your car. You need a passanger to order, pay, and take the food though.

I've never had a problem going through a drive through. I just have to yell a bit to order and then zip everything in my jacket.

I have to figure out how/where to mount a cupholder for my morning hit of Tim Horton's.

I do it all the time. Never even considered it to be a problem.
