For some reason I feel wearing the person I cared about most as a decoration would be extremely disrespectful.

I agree with sapaul. Memory is not material.

Different perspectives; many cultures around the world believe in keeping the remains of thier loved ones close. For a significant time, it was popular for many cultures deemed 'modern' to keep such remains in catacombs beneath thier homes.

But me -- I'm scared of ghosts.

And spiders; spiders suck.
Wherever you may roam

This topic could potentially open an ugly can of worms--lampshades, anyone, or how about bronzed body parts? Arghhh!

Spiders do suck.

Keeping the dead under your house is different. But I get what you're saying. What bothers me is actually transforming the remains into a decoration instead of just leaving them alone. That's just me though. When I die I'm dumping my dead body in the ocean so nobody will mess with it. Nobody but the fishes. And fishes are worthy of eating my flesh.

The possibilities are disturbingly endless - at least this one is reasonably tasteful - it certainly beats human taxidermy...
Don't give up.

Not now, not soon, not after being continually knocked down.

If you never give up, you can never truly fail.
