I once loved riding

#1 Unread post by tobe »

I once loved to ride:
It is a cool day here but that never bothered me I still got up and thought about how I could make time to go for a ride even if it was just down to the corner store but now I get up and look out the window and think am I ready for a sore butt, am I ready for one of the worse rides on a bike you could ever dream of. Answer to this is a reluctant yea I well go for that ride and the whole time I well be thinking what a piece of junk this Kawasaki 800 is and just who really made this thing. A seat that you would love to take off and send back to them and tell them where to put it. A shock system that makes you feel like with every bump on the road a pole is being pushed up your butt (where did I put that dam preparation - H.) Who needs a proctologist just go and buy a Kawasaki 800. Ok ready to go oh dam I got dressed and ate breakfast first that means I well have to sit for the next 10 – 15 minutes and wait for (lack of a better name) bike to warm up. Now can I please, ok I well give it a try. As I pull down the drive all seems ok, on the road now OK now let’s give a little throttle a paws and a bang dam still not warmed up. Corner coming up better pull the chock back out a little. Did not work as another back fire and power cuts out for a second or two. Ok made it to the store for more Prep – H. Can’t stay to long in the store or motor well get cold. We are now into one hour and on my way home pop pop as I round the corner once more. I am home my back end is dead my back still at the store and but guess what this hole of a bike is running great now. You know what is funny they know they made junk and now they are trying to cover it by adding more power (06) and fuel injection but they still have the same seat and shock. :frusty:

It sounds that you are up in age and still riding. The aches and pain are normal, don't blame the bike or the manufacturer. I think it is great that you are still riding.

Up there in years that’s a good one. 53 and I know kids half my age that can’t keep up with me. Aches and pains the someone’s I had at 19 you just learn to forget them.
You say don’t blame the bike well son I did not make the thing and I sure did not decide to put a cheap seat on it. I am not the only one that hates the seats on Kawasaki’s. You see when you sell and item and it is bad it reflects the line of products they carry. When you spend $7,000 dollars and you get bad you don’t want to go back for more. Call it a lemon or junk in the end it’s just plain bad. Yes it happens, Cars Trucks, TV’s some are bad some are good but do you go back and buy the same thing again or do you go to a different product? I offered it back to them if they would let me out of my loan and take the loss I had paid out but they sent some lame e-mail back to me that they did not have any program at this time for that. A good company would have asked why and how can we help you. To date because of there attitude I have been able to show this bike to others and sway them from buying Kawasaki’s and the dealer I dealt with. You see the dealer represents the company and he should do all in his power to make sure all is working with out digging into the customer’s pocket. I hope to have most of it paid off next year and sell it. Then I well try a different make and hope it well be better, but unless Kawasaki takes the bike back I well even after I sell it tell other what they gave me and how they handled the matter.

New bike? --------------- New bike next year I hope

It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Ones sole perpose in life is what they chose for it to be, But to turn ones back to others would be just plain rude.

Not to sound rude, tobe, but did you even bother to sit on the bike before shelling out $7,000 for it? If you honestly believe Kawasaki is the only brand that puts crappy, uncomfortable stock seats on their bikes you have a big surprise coming next year if you take a loss on your bike and buy another. My dad has an '05 C50, my brother-in-law just sold an '03 V-Star 1100 Classic, and my coworker has an '03 Shadow ACE 750....and all three of them have the same damn uncomfortable POS seat. I can't ride any of them more then ten miles without my arse feeling like it's on fire, and all three of the owners would agree. Furthermore, the stock seat on my Mean Streak gave me horrific backaches and I ended up spending $800.00 on a nice Mustang setup just so I could ride the thing. Sounds to me like your knowledge of motorcycles is on par with your grasp of the English language, and that might explain your engine problems as well.

Sorry tobe, no offense meant, but all three of your threads could have gone in the Total Motorcycle Talk section, and seem to be very negative.

Lets try to be happy!

No please don't waste the money. We love to hear all of your complaints, and if you get a comfortable seat, you might not have anything to complain about !
