I bought my Mean Streak brand new on July 31st of '04 and put just over 4,000 miles on it before cold storage. I got it out of cold storage in early April and put well over 9,000 more miles on it so far this year. That's more than 1,000 miles per month, but I have no idea what the work versus pleasure ratio is.

"Work mileage" and "fun mileage" are the same thing.

I much prefer riding my bike to driving my car, and will only take the cage out now when I need the capacity or the shelter.

I've gone 4600 miles since the end of April, so 750-800 miles per month, a bit over 9000 per year.

Done 1200kms since May. Don't commute to work, see the odd client on the bike but it is all fun rides.
I spent my therapy money an a K1200S
The therapy worked, I got a GS now

I don't put in nearly enough miles. School's been cutting into my fun time.

I think in the first 12 months of owning a bike I put in about 1500 miles, then the 4 months after that, about 10,000.

Much easier to get motivated to get out and ride when you have some of the best riding roads in the country within a day's ride.

I ride ~ 200 miles a week for stress relief and pleasure. I'll admit to becoming a fair weather rider in my age increases as I do not ride when the weather is nasty or real cold. I put 5K - 6K mi. per year in the saddle. I wish I could get in more but work seems to get in the way. It always seems that the best riding days also occur when I am at work.

I owe, I owe, so it's back to work I go!

lessee, I put 2100 miles, this year, on my previous BMW, and have 8900 miles on the new Rockster, which I took possession of on April 19th.

TOTAL: 11,000 miles. Just over 1K per month, not bad.

All of them have been fun miles.

26,924km (16,729mi) since 19 March. Might manage another 1,000km before putting the Harley away for the winter, but I'll be riding the Ural as much as I can throughout the snow season.

And, like someone already said, EVERY km ridden is a pleasure km for me. Doesn't matter if I'm commuting to/from work or taking the scenic route to my fave winery, I love to ride.

I ride about 10K miles per year. That's work and play miles. I live close to work, so that's less than 2K of the total. I ride year round, but do occasionally drive my truck when I have passengers or large items to carry. The truck has been averaging 7K miles per year.

I used to have a garage full of old bikes to ride, but now all I have left is the Nighthawk and it gets all of my riding miles.

I put about 1,200 a month on the bike. I ride it to work (20 miles round trip) because bikes can park for free in DC, and I ride it for fun the rest of the time.
