starting trouble

#1 Unread post by mystyle101 »

well heres the problem, i have a 2002 suzuki gsxr 750 and it isnt starting at the moment, the bike runs because i can pop the clutch and start her up. the battery is good, its just when its in nuetrul and i pull the clutch in and hit the starter switch, nothing happens. the switch is good, but i still cant figure out what the problem is. If anyone has had a similar problem or maybe knows what it might be please post.....im really boggled on what it could be. thank you.

The neutral switch could be bad, or the wiring from it. If the bike thinks you are in gear it most likely won't make the starter turn over. Do you have the green neutral indicator light showing?

You said you can push start it? The neutral switch is located on the shift mechanism inside the left side case. check the wires going into the clutch lever.
