Not sure if this is normal

#1 Unread post by storysunfolding »

When I start the bike and before it really warms up (choke lever being ordered so I have to hold the part where the cables attaches by hand) if I really gun the throttle the engine starts to die. I know this eliminates the vaccum partly and I assume it's a normal response but I want to make sure while I still have time to take the carbs on and off.

I am not sure but magnas had something different in the fuel system in84 /85 I think they have an electric fuel pump or something I wish I could remember , anyway as long as the bike runs fine when it is warm I doubt thats your problem anyway.

+1

I had an '82 Honda Sabre V45, it was a great bike but really cold blooded. Once it warmed up it ran great.
