Kids like that one give all riders a bad rap, whatever style of bike you happen to ride.

The average non-riding schmuck sees one bad story and assumes all riders are the same. It doesn't help that the media usually helps to spin the opinions that way as well.

I've had a few people tell me that their cousin/brother/uncle/goat died on a motorcycle. It gets annoying, especially when you know the person and you've heard them talk about all the wheelies and stoppies they used to do.

Motorcycles are inherently more dangerous because they take more vigilance, wear you down faster and offer less protection than their 4 wheeled counter parts. I have alot of sympathy for a rider that goes down, unless it's something like this guy. In that case I say good riddance and I hope his news coverage scares some squid out of being an idiot.

Two words...

population control

If some moron does some insane stunt and gets killed... it's one less moron in the gene pool
We're the first ones to starve
We're the first ones to die
The first ones in line for that pie in the sky
But we're always the last
When the gravy's shared out
For the worker is working when the fat cat's about

What happens if he takes out a genius on his way down?
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

meh... odds are that the genius drives a cage anyway. And to top it off... I've met some geniuses... and they are the most detached from reality people I've ever met... and they're flat out scary behind the wheel.

So, is it really that much of a loss???

Uhhh, I'd like to think so, last time I took the test I was Genius level IQ... not that I have the perseverance to do anything with it.

Well... I didn't say ALL geniuses. There can be exceptions... obviously you can ride and do so capably. I'm just generalizing here... I have to... it's the only way I can feel better about myself while taking a sociology course.
