ZOX bought out Vega and I have a Vega helmet and can vouch for it - good helmet for the price.

Mine's DOT and Snell approved and the price was right :righton:

I mean, they look like they're nice. Venting on the top of the helmet and such, I just didn't know how well constructed they were.

I saw one for less than $80 and was curious though.

Under 80 would make me think to...

A cruise through their web site was very informative. They are a Canadian Company and a few of their helmets are both DOT and SNELL approved. The prices are very manageable, even for those on a limited budget.

For those of you that do a fair bit of cold weather riding, there are two shields to consider, the two ply shield or the heated shield. Although the heated one is for a snowmobile, just how hard would it be to set up a power jack for your bike???

So from what I'm hearing from various people it sounds like they're actually not too shabby...hrm.

But to risk it or not, that's the question!

I bought a Z1R helmet on ebay for $70. I dont think you should let price guide you in deciding wether its a safe helmet. Its DOT so that foam thingy inside the bike is just as good as those $600 helmets. This means that safety wise its the same.
You can probably expect better ventilation and lighter weight on the more expensive helmets but thats about it.
The way the helmet fits your head is much more important than the brand.

A shop right down the street has a few, but they're a few bucks more than MSRP. You could probably nab one off of Ebay if you tried. If I did decide to buy one though I might just suck it up and pay a lil' extra though, it's not that much. Save me the hassle of wondering if the shipping people dropped it or anything like that.
