New here

#1 Unread post by Tyrone ORourke »

Hi,

Just found the site. I currently ride a Jawa 350, or better said, i did ride it, but the small end bearings just blew up spreading needle bearing parts all over the crank  , so its being taken in for an engine rebuild.

Cheers

Tyrone

Welcome. Sorry for the poor health of your bike. We don't often hear from people in your region of the world, so I hope you post often and share with us your view of the world of motorcycling. Are bikes very common in the Czech Republic?

Anyway, good luck on a speedy recovery for your motorcycle.

Thanks! Im sure my bike will be fine in the end. Anyway its still snowing here, so i dont feel so bad as I am not missing any riding.

Bikes are somewhat common here. They have a definate presence, but not as big as in some countries. At any rate its a friendly community in general, and all bikers here are ready to help eachother whether they are total strangers or not.

Thanks Mike

To start with here is a picture of my humble bike.

Shes a 1980 Jawa 350, two stroke engine with a humble 19hp, great gas mileage, and a great all around machine, if a bit slow. Over here in the Czech Republic, one has to be 21 to drive big bikes, and as I am only 20, I am restricted to bikes up to 350cc and 20hp.

Welcome Tyrone...Im sorry to hear you bike temporarily out of commission but it seems like you picked the perfect time to get it fixed. Now it'll be ready once the snow is gone!
