I got a KBC VR-1 lid and I plug the vent holes inside the liner with foam earplugs to seal it up. Never get too hot, but many times, the vents got too cold.
But I'm pretty cold-blooded. Heavy manual labor in a 100*+ building, standing on 100,000lbs of 200* iron might get a few beads to pop up on my forehead, but ussually, I'm bone dry and trying to avoid getting sprayed by the leakin' bastid next to me as he drips a gallon an hour onto my freshly buffed gasket surfaces.
Ventilation is the last feature I look for in helmet.
