Since I have a soft spot for the big-bore, torque monster UJMs of the 70s & early 80s, nostalgia obviously works for me. Whenever a nice old GS, CB, FJ or KZ goes by my eyes still glaze over. Big surprise... I know. There's just something about the raw, no-nonsense attitude those brutes had. My "old tech" '93 ZR1100 is basically a smoother-running, better-handling KZ, so it's easy to see where my allegiance lies. I realize the bikes of today are way better in any category you'd care to mention but I have trouble warming up to them, even the modern nakeds. A ZRX1200R, like scanevalexec has would be the only exception that comes to mind. A big XJR or GSX might be nice, but they're not imported here in the States.
Let me get this straight... it's one down and four up, right?

For me i realy like the old brit bikes like the triumph. I think it has the classic lines small fast enough and easy to handle. But i do live the build of the new bikes where you dont have to worry about if you get there or not. What i dont like about the new bikes is how big and heavy they are now. its more like driving a car on two wheels, 700LB for a bike
. Or how about a sport bike that many people cant even reach the ground at a stop??? I have seen plenty of guys drop there bikes at a light because something wasnt just right and they could not hold it. with only the toes touching. Been looking at some newer bikes to buy love the looks untill i sit on them and i dont feel right with the weight and hight. yea im a shorty at 5-9.

I said 60's-70's because it was during this time that I first rode a motorcycle (Milestone) & it was the Golden age of japanese import mini-bikes such as the Honda Amigo, Dax, Minitrail, & SL-70 etc.
But really, I like all the times, 80's 90's etc. cause there has been something special for me, motorcycle wise, to experience during each new decade....
& it still continues....never stops!
