There can be problems with that too... once saw some spandex-torturing housewife standing outside of a grocery store chewing her cud and watching her two brats climb over/on/around someone's street bike, which was leaning on its side stand on the sidewalk near the door. Far as she was concerned it was just a cheaper version of those coin-operated rides they used to have in front of k-marts.
I'd start yelling even if it wasn't my bike. That's soooo far beyond disrespectful. I bet money she would flip out if she found some stranger with kids that were climbing all over her car! And if something happened and they tipped the bike one of two things would happen:

1) kids wouldn't be hurt and she'd just leave
2) kids would be hurt and she'd blame the biker
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

Awful awful thought.

I'd still make sure her children left the bike though. I would want people to do the same for me. Golden rule and all that.

how the hell does someone just drive over a bike and not know it?

the kid was a friggin idiot!

if it was my ex i would've literally beat the cr@p out of him.....i'm just an "O Ring" like that...or at least people say so....and you did the right thing by being calm about it...

anyway, i hope you get a new bike soon!

P.S. if there is anything left from the bike, you can sell em and make some money.

i know this is an old topic, but i was just looking through old pages of posts and noticed i had a unviewed post on it. Well i thought about how he could hit it and run over it without noticing. The truck has decent suspension and probably 2" lift. Even still, runing over a bike, the shocks and suspension had to flex and raise the back rear end. It makes no sense how he didnt see it much less run it over. I see the kid at school from time to time. Still driving the big truck, one day i noticed a fat dent in the left drivers door, asked him what happen, apparently he miscalculated on a left turn at a drive through and banged the corner. . . . how did this guy get a lisence is still my final question.
