I'd support constant retraining. As the law stands people can pass their licence at 17 over here, and then not drive for 10 years but still be able to get straight back into a car and drive off.

In fact one reason for why we are losing so many babyboomers is that they had bike licences 10-20 years ago, have driven cars in the meantime and then got straight onto a highpowerbike with no refreshing training.

I don't know about you guys but my parents, my Dad specifically, would fail if he had to take a driving test tomorrow.

why was it illegal to make a right on red? was this intersection specific? and y arnt u guys putting more blame on the guy that did the u turn. the boys prolly looked, saw the bikers in the far lane and began to turn. if any fault its the uturn cigarette.

next - when is this law in florida suppose to pass?

and driving pass midnight until your 21... ummm sorry that wont fly if your 18 you should be able to drive pass midnight, just my opinion.

i think they just need to be stricter in evalutations of drivers. and maybe do it a couple times instead of just 1 5 min test.
It was specific to the intersection, there are actually alot of intersections near high traffic areas that have this restriction.

Technically it's both of their fault, at the same time, the guy turning right was the only one to actually make contact.

It Va you can't get your license until your 18. It's not so much that you shift the statistics it's that two more years makes a big change in the development of cognitive processes. Thus beginning to drive on your own at 18 lets you begin when you're more able.

The past midnight until 21 doesn't make sense to me, but having a graduated licensing system does even if that means you can't drive after midnight for the first year. Driving when you're tired is just as bad as driving drunk. If any of you have ever run rescue you'd see the stupid "poo poo" that kids do that get alot of innocent people hurt. American's are already bad enough drivers, anything we can do to make that better will get 100% support from me.

I agree they need to be more strict in their driver evaluations, but I feel that should apply to our scoots too.

Just my personal opinion, but.....

I think we are ignoring that fact the general public is either too stupid, too self-absorbed or too ignorant to be able to drive anything safely. Period. Those who are competent are invisable due to the hoards of dangerous idiots swarming all over the roads and tieing up all the lanes. I could go on, but I'll cut it short to save time....

And this is why flying cars will NEVER happen. If the roads look like this now, what's gonna happen when these fools are turned loose in 3 dimentions....
No Witnesses.... :shifty:

Breeding ever greater stupidity through technology. And sucking anything that even resembles fun or self-responsibility out of everything and everything. Can't wait....

wow cant get ur license till your 18 there i dont know, that would just hurt me and i think it hurts younger kids as well (although im only 21) what about getting a job i wouldnt have been able to work when i was 16 if i couldnt have driven there. i dont know if everyone bumps it up to 18 i just feel we might as well make the legal limit for an adult 21 then... cuz it seems everything is moving up in age
