Well, I wasn't here before the big crash. I found TotalMotorcycle in a Google search and thought I'd see what it's about. Anyhow, the name's ChopperCharles, because I own a CX500 I've turned into an old-school chop. The entire build history is here: http://www.cxboard.netfirms.com/cxChopper

Other than that, I also own a V65 Magna that I've been using as a touring bike for the last few years. Big windshield and bags and all. But now I also have an Ace 750, and that's been relegated to touring duty (I have some bolt on bags and a windshield that I can attach in like 10 minutes). So I've decided to take the Magna and turn it into a true street rod.

Other than modifying my own bikes, I also pick up old junkers that have been sitting for years, and either restore them or if they're too far gone I'll part them out on eBay. It makes me a bit of money, but mostly I do it because I love working on bikes.... well... no, that's not it. I enjoy riding all types of bikes, and I enjoy bringing a bike back from the dead, and being the first person to swing a leg over it and ride it in years.

Welcome, Charles! Glad to have you on board.

Bringing a bike back to life is indeed extremely satisfying. I'm sure you're considerably more experienced at it than I, but I know whereof you speak!

Hope you like the site and post whenever you feel like it! :D
Let me get this straight... it's one down and four up, right?

hey Charles

welcome - I've seen your work before on another site, wonderful job on the CX. I especially like the skull & crossbones, and the pickle is a nice touch!.

would have laughed my pants off to see a chopper go by with a plant strapped to the sissy bar like that, very inventive :P

Hi Charles,

Welcome to our community! :welcome:

Sorry to hear you weren't around before, but then we are all enjoying the "new beginnning" anyways. Now you can say you were here from the start! (start of the 2nd generation board...LOL)

A big :welcome: to the community Charles!! :D

I can relate with your saying that " I enjoy bringing a bike back from the dead, and being the first person to swing a leg over it and ride it in years. " only did it once, but it felt really good.

I look foward to reading your motorcycle restoring and fixing tips in the garage and learing a thing or two! :D

:welcome:

Mike.
