Its getting hot here now its about 87 today. I used that Sahara vest from Joe Rocket, and if you can get the water amount correct it actually works really nice with the evaporative cooling. Try adding some of that coolmax/heatgear
performance under shirts and socks to help use your sweat to cool you off.

Yeah, it was a swealtering 68* here in NorCal this past Saturday, and then, to add insult to injury, it warmed up to a blistering 70* on Sunday and Monday.

Holiday, that's what I said when I borrowed my friend's jacket. The disturbed look she gave me was priceless.
I find it easier to heat up than to cool down. I mean just get a liner, electric vest and you're set. But once you're nekkid you can't cool down any further without A/C or lots of cooling gel crap. Give me freezing weather over hot and humid any day! (Of course I live on the coast in the South! It barely froze at all this winter!)

Stopped by another resident, who was going out for a ride in shorts and a t-shirt. He says "Man, its too hot for all the gear!" I say "Gimme heat rash over road rash any day."

Saw tons of bikes (some really nice ones) this past weekend in St. Augustine. Very little gear, but lots of great-looking rides, and lots of bikers having fun. Maybe one of these days I'll be more confident, and will gear down a little. But not anytime soon....
I was in St. Augustine on Friday afternoon and again on Monday and BOY WAS IT HOT!! Yuck!! Still had a great time on the bikes. That sure is a pretty little town.

Alpinestars has the Hero Tan jacket, the Ice can be had in mostly white (either black, red, or blue shoulders).

Ice - http://www.metricbikes-superstore.com/i ... p?cPath=65
Hero - http://www.metricbikes-superstore.com/i ... p?cPath=69

Pricey but look cool... I'm sure more light color gear can be found if you look...

on long rides i soak a tshirt in cold water to wear under my jacket. usually helps. open all your vents in your helmet. wear thin socks. theres plenty of things you can do.
