I'd hardly buy a used car with those kinda quirks.

That was a weird FBO... my impression from a couple visits was that the owner/A&P (same guy) played Worlds of Warcraft 15 hours a day in the office... played and smoked and hand-rolled "cigarettes" from the smell of things. Needless/sad to say I haven't been back there in years....
Ride it like you think owning it matters.

Oy, yeah. I'd say you were better off running from that place. There are plenty of decent ones that don't give you the willies when you arrive to file the flight plan.

Gosh, now I've got a hankerin' to go flying again! DH and I use to go in Jax when he was stationed out there. Unfortunately, no flying clubs are out here :(

I'm not applying for a mechanic position. That's the ridiculous part. I'm applying for a parts counter job.

Given that I've been working on cars since I was old enough to hold a wrench you'd think they'd give a LITTLE credit when it comes from transferring that knowledge to the bike realm. Same parts, different package. For some reason the guy keeps harping on about stators and regulator rectifiers like it's some arcane knowledge. It took me about 20 seconds to look it up earlier and find out that he's basically talking about the bike equivalent of an alternator. The fact that they hired some assclown that thinks he did 280 on his CBR1000 but seem reticent when it comes to me is just a little silly, ya gotta admit.

Well, I can understand that.

I'm going through a similar experience here at home. I've also worked/played in the garage since dad thought I was old enough to shag tools from the box while he was under the car. So, I'm pretty familiar with trucks.

I'm currently working on my bike, no repair manual, so all by 'we'll let see what this does'. Honestly, if I had to do this all the time, I think I'd get the hang of it if I didn't kill myself first. But jumping in two feet and blind folded, its a bit nerve racking and frustating.

Anyhow good luck with it. I think parts counter might be less frustrating :D

I'm not trying to start an argument here, but you do come across as a know-it-all.

Plus, I prefer to deal with other riders when I go to a bike shop. They know what I am talking about and understand where I am coming from.
Get a little experience in the bike world under your belt and try again when another job comes up.

I suggest douching. That sand in your spot has GOT to be chafing you something fierce.

It really must suck being less desireable than an assclown. If it is possible, you must be more annoying in person!

For all I know, I'm the frontrunner for the position. It's quite annoying that I've been in the place twice and both times the person running the place has said about nine words to me.

Man with hand in pants feel cocky all day.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.
