I wonder how it popped out, hopefully I will know soon.

Hope they caught ALL the gremlins this time.

Yes, completely new. It is in the shop right now and I'll call today and see if they found anything out.

I have my fingers crossed. What gets me is I've never heard of a dip stick unscrewing itself and popping out and that I did just check it's tightness after going out on that ride too. I have a few ideas to propose to them to see if it does unscrew itself (like running the bike with a orange tick on it and the case and see if it moves or screw it in not so tightly and see if it moves kinda thing). I'm really quite concerned about it all as it is something I really can't see while I'm riding. I guess I could use Loctite on it! LOL

I have only had mine a few days, and now I am crapping it, thinking I have a bad bike on my hands.
Please tell me its not true!
I would stick pics up if I knew how to...any helpful hints?
(PS nearly got a co worker to buy one as well....)
As High_Side said above, it is most likely a flukey thing. I've had some issues so far with the MG and I cannot deny this was the worse but I'm hopefull. They have only heard of this happening once on an old (70s) MG so that's really rare then. What I would suggest is to go out and check the dipstick is tight. If so, maybe put a wax marker line on it and the block (so you can wash it off later) and see if it moves at all. Other than that, the MG is an awesome bike and since your bike already has miles on it (how many?) being an ex-demo hopefully the bugs are all worked out. I just have 740miles on mine so I did expect some small issues (this and the cluch being big issues though).
I'll keep you up to date too mate.

3. OK: Use a 3rd party photo upload site, copy/paste the .jpg URL in your post (not the .html or .htm link). Unlike the other 2 above options you photo will expire.
