I just paid the $15 to buy the fused wiring for my GPS so no need for a cigarette lighter. Then again I know how to run electrical wiring.Larry Culling wrote:took the wife to work, pick up a yard of top soil and spred it as a thunderstorm was approaching, to cover new grass seed, just got it done as it started to rain. Returned the top soil bag back to the supplier, stopped at Timmy's for coffee and returned home to finish wiring my bike for my Garmin GPS. Anybody looking to mount a weather proof cigarett lighter socket on their bike, canadian Tire has one with a mounting base moulded to it that can be bolted to the bike, using two 10-32 machine screws. It comes with a weather cap to cover the socket. I used a marine mounting bracket made for my model of Garmin and purchased from a marine store. It clamps to the handle bars and has balls and sockets for adjustment. Very nice setup.

Re: What did you do today...
Today I rode up to Guthrie OK where the Street Kings were having a show. There were old cars, custom cars, hot rods, rusto rods, and a couple of bikes. This old Chevy really impressed me because the doors shut solidly, I mean like a new car.
And this '47 Ford was detailed though it didn't look like it. The front turn signals were made out of tuna cans, with eyebrows.People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

Met some RAT pack members and rode 90 miles to the Antique Motorcycle Club of America meet at Oley, PA. Saw an amazing assortment of old bikes, many running. Vintage board trackers, running, etc, etc. Then rode 90 miles back home. Took up most of the day.

Re: What did you do today...
Spent the morning taking care of the kids, getting the dressed and fed and making sure they didn't kill each other, then a friend came over to see the new house (mostly the fabled garage) and the Honda 919. Had hoped to go for a ride with him but hip was bothering me too much, so took a nap and spent the rest of the afternoon grilling dinner and wishing my hip felt better. I sure miss riding lately, with the weather being absolutely perfect for riding lately from shortly after sunrise til a little past sunset. After the kids went to bed, the gf and I went into town and grabbed some coffee since her brother is finally back from Mesa and we left him on the couch playing computer games in case the kids woke up.

Re: What did you do today...

Woke up too late to bathe my maidenly face in the morning dew of May Day!
Still at the seaside & it is very windy, am watching lots of little sail boats & kite surfers from the warmth of bedroom.

Re: What did you do today...
Cute tiny flag!
Went for a long ride today out of town into the rice paddies. Weird kind of dark, humid, cloudy day that looked like rain any moment but the rain never came. Only a week ago it was mid winter here and now...this intense humidity. Looks like we skipped spring and summer is here already. Came home via a friends house and was given a bag of English papers and magazines. Something to read tomorrow
.
Also made banana cake today with lemon icing/frosting and put lemon peel in it.

Re: What did you do today...
I finished my final paper on Civil Rights issue last night, and this morning I finished my paper on The Reconstruction era after the American Civil War. Other than some editing on both papers, I am ready to hand them in Monday. It is a huge load off my shoulder and I will be quite free until the summer semester starts in a month.
