Need a good small bike?

#1 Post by jayhawk » Thu Apr 27, 2006 6:54 am

I bought my little beauty last year and have enjoyed tooling around in it after not riding for 40 years. I will be selling it to help defray the cost of a new deck and room-- may get something like it again later, I got a kick out of it and with gas prices shooting up we may all be riding more!

Its a 1981 Suzuki GS250, 6 speed, twin cylinder. It has only 2000 miles and is a real beaut. I have both the owner's manual and the maintenance/repair manual. Specs say it will do 90 mph but I've never gone past 60.

If you know someone interested, email me and I can send better pics and info... Thanks!

I'd suggest putting this in the classified section.

Good luck finding a seller!
2000 Kawasaki Ninja EX500R (Sold)
2006 Suzuki SV650S (Stolen 4/08, recovered 12/08, sold 3/09)
2004 Suzuki SV650S (Sold)

Being bikeless SUCKS!!!

Many people get good prices when they sell stuff on ebay depending on how much you are asking.

Sorry man but I don't think a 25 year old bike is gonna go for much over $1000.
Have fun on the open /¦\

I just sold a 78 gs 750 on ebay for 1,200. But it's a rip roaring bike... a 250... in my area you'd be hard pressed to get $800 for it being so old, and with such low miles

specs say alot of things. Maybe the bike will go faster than 90 but I bet that's just where the rider was overwhelmed by vibration... one way or another.

Just for your info-- I put the bike on line and in the local paper this weekend and got tons of calls and have it sold near the asking price. This is a like new bike and people really liked it (as I did when I saw/rode it)

That's lucky. In this area the few year old rebels go for the same price and they are plenty to go around. I need to try to sell a bike in KC
