Not to throw a wet blanket on ya or anything, but without a less-restrictive air intake and a jet kit your bike is not going to make much more power, if any. However, since you've gone this far, you may as well get an intake and appropriate jet kit and do it up right. I hear the 800's respond really well to this trifecta.
