Hardy to host motorcycle rally
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
HARDY — The sounds of heavy metal will be roaring through the Ozark Mountains as Hardy's second annual Spring River Motorcycle Rally gets under way Saturday. This will be a drug- and alcohol-free family-fun event from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
More than 500 motorcycle owners participated in last year's rally.
Held on the banks of the Spring River at the Loberg Recreational Park, located in the center of downtown Hardy, all visitors will be entertained by:
A free concert from the band Bourbon Street
Day rides
Bike Wash
Food vendors
Judged Bike Show
For rally participants, there will be a special poker run and day ride maps for spending time winding through the beautiful hills around Hardy. This is an open rally, so all makes and models of bikes are welcome.
Admission for pre-registered participants is $20 per bike and $10 per car. Walk-ins are free.
The rally is sponsored by Hardy Advertising and Promotion Commission, Main Street Hardy, the City of Hardy, Price Chopper and FNBC.
For more information, participant registration or vendor registration, call Main Street Hardy Executive Director Richard Jones at (870) 856-3571, or e-mail mainstreethardy@centurytel.net.
