Should I get a Vegas or a Hammer?

#1 Unread post by redmolly »

I’m thinking about trading my Harley in for a Victory and I don’t know whether to get a Vegas or a Hammer?

Which floats your boat? Which makes your inner toddler squeal with delight? I like the looks of the Vegas, but that doesn't mean you do or that overall it would be the better bike for you. Go sit on them, see how they feel, and listen for the one that whispers "take me home..."

don't just sit on them - take them out for a test ride.

That's a hard choice. I'm a fan of the hammer but the vegas has such a great look to it that I couldn't foul you on that choice either.

If the OP lives somewhere they can do that, oh yeah. Ride everything you can. Test rides are very unusual here, and that bites.

Every victory dealer I've been to has a few bikes there to demo. It's the only reason I've been able to ride every one they make... and scrape out b/c it doesn't ride like my strom

Take a look at the corporate site (http://www.victorymotorcycles.com)

The 2009 lineup is out - The Hammer S looks nice! I like those wheels. Its also got the 106ci motor - they're claiming 97hp and 113ft-lb stock.
