2006 Suzuki C50
2006 Suzuki C50
What is everyone's opinion on this bike? I am looking at getting a very low mileage used one that I found close by.
I am 6'1" 225 lbs in case that matters
I currently ride a Shadow 600 VLX Deluxe - I think I have outgrown her.

Re: 2006 Suzuki C50
I don't remember hearing anything bad about it at all. It's a little heavy for it's engine size, but I'm sure you can handle that, it's fuel injected which is a great feature and Suzuki made the bike into a Tourer as well (see link below) so that opens up some extra accessories for it too. Plus it has shaft drive (A+).
The only negative I can really say for it is it's small gas tank (Fuel Tank Capacity: 15.5 liter (4.1 gal.)) which isn't the best, not the worst, but not the best either.

As long as it was kept for and oil changes were done regularly on it, it should be a fine bike.
As usual with any used bike when you buy it pretend NOTHING has been done and change the spark plugs, oil and filter, brake fluid, shaft/chain oil, check the tires, check the battery, wash/wax and polish it up and enjoy it.

Re: 2006 Suzuki C50
I absolutely hated my Volusia (01 carb'd version of this). When I sold it I almost cried in pure joy because it was finally gone. I mean I only put 3k on it in 5 months during the Colorado winter.
And yes that was pure sarcasm! haha
It's a great bike, the shaft drive is super nice, the bike has good power, and it's center of gravity is low so it actually feels lighter than the lighter Vulcan 750 while riding it. Can cruise at 80 all day, yet will get you around town with no problems at all.

Thanks Wrider for the reply to the poster,
It's always great to hear from a person who has owned the bike before. Sounds like a great bike.

The Spouse Thingy moved up from a VLX Deluxe 600 to the C50 and he loves it. Enough that he thinks it'll be his last bike...
