Re: Did you ever.......
LOL... funny enough, YES!
I restored from the frame up my 1978 Suzuki GS550E as it was a non-running, dirt encrusted basket case in someone's back yard (for $350). After putting it back together and getting it to run ($1000 in parts) I was left with a 2 pound bag of nuts, bolts and parts I had no idea where they came from. haha.
Unfortunately for all my efforts the bike really just wanted to have been left to rust in peace and was never happy being on the road. I learned that dispite your best efforts sometimes some things just can't be saved.
Sad story but true: http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/GS550.htm

I havent had the pleasure but that is too funny, my dad always said when you put it back together you did it right if you have spare parts left over in case you lose one later...loljstark47 wrote:Did you ever...... look at a hole on your motorcycle, wonder what bolt fell out, and how long it's been missing??
