MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — June 11, 2015 — Indian Motorcycle®, America’s first motorcycle company, today announced its inaugural “Great American Summer Cookout,” taking place at Indian Motorcycle dealerships across the country on Saturday, June 13. The nationwide party celebrates the kickoff to summer riding season and the run-up to the 2015 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally™ in Sturgis, South Dakota. With the historic 75th anniversary of the Sturgis Rally fast approaching and nearly 1,000,000 attendees expected, the nationwide summer cookout will serve to remind motorcycling fans that the rally was started by Indian Motorcycle, and the past, present and future of this iconic motorcycling event belong to all riders.

While event specifics vary by location, dealers nationwide will be grilling up lots of summer favorites, and bringing “mini Sturgis rallies” to their towns with free giveaways, drawings for prizes, and more. The event is taking place in collaboration with Indian Motorcycle partners the USO, the Sturgis Buffalo Chip®, Jack Daniel’s and Zac Brown Band. Each event will feature plenty of free prizes and attendees will have a chance to enter for a chance to win a Zac Brown Band concert trip giveaway — all while helping raise funds for the USO and military families in the local area.
