Please do an article about E Bikes, especially range and speed, my E Bike (2015 Zero FX) has a published top speed of 85, BUT it always overheats and cuts power at 65-70. Published range is 100 miles. In town or off road I have gotten almost 85 miles but it drops to about 20 on hiway(charging stations in my area are from between 42 and 75 miles apart then 8+ hours to charge)
E BIKES ARE FUN, for a second or third bike BUT COMPLETELY IMPRACTACLE for only bike.)
ZERO is the most popular E Bike, but TMW doesn't even mention most popular brands (Zero, Engncia,Fuell Fillo, You do Mention HD {Live Wire} and KTM) Also not mentioned, probably not yet in production or non North American, E Bikes from Alpinera, Moto-Morni, Honda, Vespa, Royal Enfield, URAL and Yamaha. I haven't heard any electric plans from Norton (yes they are still around) Kawasaki, Indian, Cagiva Group or BMW. Polaris is going to use Zero motors for their electric ATVs.

A great bike. After seeing many US reviewers, my wife and I purchased 2, 6 weeks ago. A well-priced bike and so enjoyable to ride.

I'll receive a modest refund for the SRS, continuing my streak of successfully evading US.

4k dollars is too much. I've always dreamed of a bike, but even the most budget-friendly options among bikes are expensive for me. But I've been suggested to think about electric scooters as an alternative. So if you can share some thoughts, I'd appreciate the feedback. I'm a big fan of various models of Yamaha. Kawis are good too, but if I had the budget, I'd prefer Yamaha. But among e-scooters, there are many worthy options that seem even more suitable for city riding right now.

Considering your preference for Yamaha and interest in electric scooters as a more budget-friendly alternative to bikes, there are indeed several good options to explore. Here are some points to consider:

Yamaha Electric Scooters: Yamaha has started producing electric scooters that combine their reputation for quality with the efficiency of electric power. Models like the Yamaha E01 and Yamaha EC-05 are gaining popularity for their urban commuting capabilities, ease of use, and environmentally friendly nature.

I bought an Aventon Level 2 step over frame exactly 12 months ago and I love it. For me, at approx 175 pounds, trying to stay under $2K, I tested several different e bikes, but far and away the Aventon Torque sensor was the best. 60 mile range, or about 40 mile range at max speeds and hills, etc.dinosaur game Zero problems, but that said I've only ridden about 1000 miles so far. Too many toys!

I give it 2 more years before I finally buy one, slope thanks to all the people with disposable income who are testing AND providing good feedback to eventually create an all-round amazing E-Bike.

Currently owning a 2023 Harley-Davidson Serial1 BASH/MTN. At $4k that's a bit pricey.
