So last night at about 4:00 it started to rain. I was pretty upset because I really wanted to take the bike out a little further from home. I just got it running pretty good on Sunday after it had been sitting for 9 years. The bike was given to me to clean up someone's front yard. It has been running off and on since I got it but I would never dare to take it too far from the house because I didn't want to be stranded and have to push the bike home (ask me how I know )
Well when I got home it was raining pretty good. Oh well what the hell, I went for it anyway. I don't have ANY rain gear so I decided I'd grab mty helmet and get wet and let the dryer deal with it. The bike ran great it misfired once (need to get the carbs synced). I smiled all the way there and all the way back. It just sucks I got the bike in the fall and not in the spring. Oh well I am just so stoked to get it.
That's cool that you got it running - congrats. I know it SEEMS like there aren't very many good winter riding days up here in the pac nw, but there will be more than you think. Riding in the cold is fun! Mostly because it doesn't get all that cold around these parts too often. I mean, not like Canada cold anyway.
I love riding in the rain, now that it's cold only with my rain gear. There's nothing like trailing a thunderstorm, feeling the charge in the air, the crisp smell of nitrogen everywhere and the breathtaking light show in the upper atmosphere with the occasional fork of blinding light
