Visit China sometime, they make "counterfeit" cars... in other words make a car that looks exactly the same as a known brand name car but rebadged.

40 years ago people said they couldn't trust anything built in Japan and now look. The same goes for Korea and Taiwan. I just found out in the new Motorcyclist that Hyosung was in business for almost 30 years. Kymco even longer.

Looking at the arguments... I'd certainly like to take one for a test drive.

OMG, just by looking at the pics (which tend to make things look nicer than they really are) I've had Big Wheels as a kid that were made of nicer materials than those things.

There is alot of very very very negative stuff on this site, and pretty much all the others ive ever looked at about anything chinese. Yes its a blatant knock off of a bmw badge... And I do understand that the likelehood of a poorly cheaply built machine is more possible when talking about one of these class of machines.

Is it within a vauge, remote, infinitesimal realm of possibility that it could be a halfway decent contraption?

So far...JCViper528...thats the Only real world experience with one that I've seen posted. Anyone have anything positive to say? Negative response is fine...but do you have any personal experience with one to back it up?

I don't really have that much experience with it other than sitting on the thing in the showroom. They won't let me test it till two weeks after spring.

I did however talked to the gal who bought one (V5) and so far she's happy with it and it's a cooler looking scooter.

I don't have any xp with these chinese bikes... but I owned a Lifan 200 until recently... also 17hp and a claimed max speed of 75mph..

THe lifan was also chinese and the quality was cheap but I paid less than 2K for a brand new bike.. It was awsome to learn on in my opinion much better starter bike than a ninja 250 if your planning on moving up after you learn to ride.. I only lost 500 dollars after resale and trust me after i was done with it the bike was not mint :)

about max 75mph.. thats bs.. maybe if your going downhill with a tornado at your back... I think 65 mph is closer to reality..

Yeah... but the ninja will last forever, go on the interstate and can be a lifelong bike. Many people use them as their commuting or twisty riding bike of choice.
