The Victory Vision compares to this bike: FLHCTU the Electra Glide Ultra CLassic. I don't like either, but the Vision is a lot sleeker and doesn't look put together from pieces like the Harley.

I like that euro harley.

However, you can't call the Vision a failure without seeing it in person or giving it a test ride. It just clicks once you do.

Harley does not hold a patent or trademark on the sound produced by their motorcycles.

I saw one in a parking lot a few weeks ago. Took a couple walks around it.

I couldn't believe how much more hideous it is in person. And it's already hideous in pictures.

It's so incredibly ugly I just can't believe anyone would pay so much for it.

I'd buy one just to irritate my Harley friends...

but they hold the patent to the crank shaft used in their bikes, which dictates the firing order which makes the sound they make. So in a round about way...

I'm kinda an anti-harley harley fan. I like sportsters and V-Rods.

First off, I have to say that I'm a big fan of Victory and the Vegas is on my short list for my next bike. The Harley, not so much, except for the Fat Bob, which is also on that short list.

However, I'm not a big fan of the Vision. I believe it's a great bike (don't own one or ever rode one, so I can't give a good consumer report), but the aesthetics are the pits. Having said that, I realize looks are a subjective matter. There are plenty of bikes out there and if you (or I) don't like the Vision, then there's always something else out there.

I agree with Gummiente; both bikes should just not be compared. To each his own.

Note that I did sit on a Vision the other day and found it to be a lot better balanced than it looks. It feels like it is a much lighter bike than it is. I can only imagine how it rides. But, that wide front faring reminds me of a...gasp...car dashboard. Doesn't give me that open, free, feeling of being on a motorcycle.

Still, looks wise, to me, the Vision simply looks like a eurostyle robotic buffalo.

so you're basing your entire review on looks, without ever having even thrown a leg over one?

hey, i agree that it's ugly. (i think only the goldwing is uglier)

BUT

i at least gave it a test ride, and guess what?

it's amazing.

it rides like a dream, doesn't feel heavy in the least bit, and is QUICK.

so if you ever decide to judge a motorcycle by function and performance and not just by how poseriffic it looks, go ahead and throw a leg over.
