They added some Night Rod styling cues to it I see. Well, what are you waiting for? :D It sounds like you really like it and being that it is winter or close to it see if the dealers will knock off $200 or more on it, considering it is a Korean brand bike with limited support in the states. Then again the engine should be similar to Suzuki's SV v-twin line since they price it pretty low meaning a lot of R&D has been done already and the same engine is found in all their 650 line up, just tuned differently.
Money. right now im trying to get out of debt. However I will get close to 7 grand back from tax's this year (feds and state combined) so I can prob pay cash for it come feb :D
Will the insurance increase if you get this bike considering that it is a new bike? Oh and with the expected cash coming in shouldn't that be used to feed your family?

Being in Michigan the snow will probably keep you from getting it in Feb anyhow. Looks like some more waiting time before netting yourself a new ride.
???? I feed my family just fine on my normal weekly paychecks.... No you cant have another french fry 9 is all you get....

as for getting one in feb why should that stop me? I got a truck now ... Plus if it aint snowing muwhahahahaha.

There's also a much bigger online community with the SV650.
Ditto! The smart money's on the SV!

We just got a fleet of hyosung 250's for training at Quantico. So far they're pieces of junk and we haven't even started using them yet :frusty:

I'd pass on a hyosung for a POV unless I was desperate.

I have been curious about Hyosung for awhile. My wife drives a Korean SUV (Hyundai Santa Fe) and she loves it. The car hasn't had asingle problem in the two years she has owned it, and she loves the features. This made me consider a Korean bike.
I saw several Craigslist ads for used Hyosung's, and noticed that almost every one listed some sort of previous engine or bodywork problem. Without an established dealer service network, I would avoid them at this point. I think there is definate potential for the company, but it will take a few more years for them to get everything in place in the U.S.

They're well known for their scooters in Asia but, as with all Korean products, their American support is pretty useless since they only know how to deal with people in their own region. Just like with my Cowon D2 mp3 player: great features and sound but the company only takes feedback from Korean users instead of focusing on fixing part of the product for American users.

Considering a lot of R&D is already done after having worked for Suzuki (bikes made for the Asian market) I'm surprised Hyosung would still cut corners instead of using that saved money on refining their bikes to make them really competitive, or maybe they just cut corners on bikes for sale elsewhere.
One thing you can count on: You push a man too far, and sooner or later he'll start pushing back.
