zzr1100c strange problem

#1 Unread post by Ozaki »

Hi there
Have a strange problem guys, I hope someone can help.

When pull off and what the most power the bike feels like it jumps out of gear @ 8000 rpm but shut off the throttle and it goes fine with no problems but will not go higher than 8000 rpm, is it clutch related? or gearbox related? what will it do to my engine if i leave it like this?

Engine has new bearings fitted and I don't want to damage anything again.

Regards

Could be clutch or gearbox. The first and easiest thing I would check though is the chain tension and the condition of the sprockets.

How about the final drive sprocket?
People say I'm stupid and apathetic. I don't know what that means, and I don't care.

I'd vote to check your timing. I've heard of that happening when people have put in new cam chain tensioners without retracting them first... Is it very responsive below the 8k?
Does the engine rev above 8k when not in gear?
