Yesterday Mike replaced my choke cable (thanks honey!).

Today we tried to go for a ride but every time the rain stopped we'd get ready to go and then it would rain again. Sigh. :rainyday:

Today I tried 2 different sets of jets in my FZR600R before settling on a third set  I think that shes right where I want her now. I was a little lean from slight throttle up. Now I have her running nice and SMOOTH. Friday I sold the VLX so I ordered new Michelin Pilot road 3 tires for the nighthawk the rear was in stock the front was special order. I also ordered a back rest with cargo rack. I'm on the fence about some engine guards with highway pegs for interstate travel. I am expecting them to be in end of week begging of next. My usual dealer wanted more for just the rear tire than I ordered them both for. They told me since I ordered my own tires they now want 150 to install 2 tubeless tires. Guess its time to find another place to mount my tires. The previous place I used charged me for valve stems they didn't replace. Go figure one went flat in 2 weeks and they wouldn't make good on it. I could go to the shop that peeled all the powder coating off my fzr wheels.......

wow I have never paid over $25 to have my tires mounted. Then again the place I goto sells the tires for less than cost (I cant even get them cheaper online).

It was really bad. Lots of heavy rain and without a garage there is no where to keep the bikes dry if they get soaked.

We're kind of fair weather riders...

Today I interviewed a candidate for my replacement. It's a strange task! Imagine loving your job (10/10) and then trying to find your own replacement when you're not ready to leave.

Since my tires are supposed to be delivered on fri (according to tracking) I decided to go figure out who was going to mount them for me. I took the fzr on an open ended road trip to find a ship that seemed to care about anything other then selling new bikes. I needed my front tired balanced on the FZR so it was a good reason to go for a ride too. Found the Suzuki dealer in Dover DE service dept has pretty decent people. I had them balance my front tire and they were very professional. The guy that worked on it said he never rode one of those before and asked if he could ride it. I went ahead since it was on their insurance. Very nice guys in service there. I made an appointment for Saturday for my nighthawks tires since they did good work and had fair prices. I have been in there 2 other times when looking for one thing or another and they never had anything I was interested in. I really felt out of place there waiting for my bike to be done. Its a Suzuki dealership and the people coming in were the BUSA crowd. Are all busa owners that self absorbed and superficial? People in the parts dept were openly putting down everything but their golden child BUSA. customers where the same way. I guess I expected a little different atmosphere in there since they are also a Triumph dealer.
