Japanese motorcycles and your initial thoughts

#1 Unread post by flw »

This is a opinion poll but it requires a few words so you'll have to reply to this to get heard.

On Japanese motorcycles only, when you think ______________ (insert single name below) you think what?

-Honda

-Yamaha

-Kawaski

-Suzuki

Sample coiuld be" When I think of Honda, I think of the most reliabile and most costly bike around for its class and size."

If you have these instant thoughts for all four major bike makers in Japan than create one for each brand.

When I think Honda I think of reliable, familiar, cool and safe.
When I think Yamaha I think piano, well tuned and smooth. And my XJR.
When I think Kawasaki I think of bosoku night riders.
When I think Suzuki I think cheaper, but street cool.

Honda - most prolific - they are everywhere in every market - new and used
Yamaha - powerful
kawasaki - 'ChiPs' and police-style bikes (which I like)
suzuki - my first bike which i miss - my volusia
still recovering - back to crutches, then walking with a stick, then running - then hopefully riding again!

When I think of Kawasaki, I think great bikes but crappie electronics.
Always ask why.

When I think Honda I think of reliability but at the cost of new technology.
When I think Yamaha I think of the the baseline standard all bikes should be.
When I think Kawasaki I think of great looking bikes and new technology. (but at the cost of reliability)
When I think Suzuki I think of affordable and fun.
