New 2013 Honda CB1100 announced, now up on TMW

Mixing naked and classic Honda style with thoroughly modern and engaging performance, the exquisitely built four-cylinder CB1100 has a presence, and personality, all of its own.

Image

Unmistakably Honda, the CB1100's clean lines elegantly echo the past. The large round headlight, scalloped fuel tank (proudly detailed with the Honda Wing) and silver painted sidepanels add style and substance, while familiar analog dials, slim seat, side-swept 4-2-1 exhaust pipe and chromed front and rear mudguards provide the finishing touches, gently stirring memories of how motorcycles used to look and, as importantly, feel.

Perhaps it's what you don't see that matters more with the CB1100; this is the motorcycle at its most elemental. A steel double cradle frame houses the engine, with 41mm conventional telescopic forks and twin rear shocks providing compliant and finely tuned suspension. The CB1100's riding position is upright and relaxed, a perfect platform from which to watch the world slide by.

Well, I know what my next bike would be if it comes to North America! :revv:

No news yet about availability in North America (Canada or USA), but the really good news is Europe gets the CB1100 for 2013 to join Australia and Japan. But Honda will be selling it in more markets so there is more hope it will come to the USA and Canada.

I hope it happens for you bud. Interestingly enough, it looks like it uses the same accessory trunk as my VFR. Schweet bike - and classy.

I would have to go with the classic Honda red I think, although the 2012 CB1100 I have up in blue is the cat's meow as well. :D Either I would have to look into power coating the rims gold (for a classic Bol Do'r look).

At $10K this thing should be a big seller if all the people on the interwebs who said that "they'd be the first in line if they imported it" actually anti-up.

Beautiful bike. Decent price too.

Well, I have some great news! Honda Canada just updated their media site and it appears the CB1100 is also headed to Canada as well as the USA!

No word on MSRP yet. If it's $10k, they will sell. I'm thinking under $13k, as Honda CB's new seem to always be a premium.

I'll have to test ride it as soon as it's out here. :D

It is definately a stong consideration in the future. If I didn't buy the Moto Guzzi the CB1100 would be jumping to the top of my list. But right now I'm quite happy with the Moto Guzzi. :revv: Really happy. :kicking:

That's what a lot of people said about the HD XR1200, and see how that went.
