Classic bobber style, refreshed for 2013, now featuring optional H-D1™ Factory Customization...

The Harley-Davidson® Street Bob® is restyled for 2013 as a stripped-down and rowdy bobber based on the Harley-Davidson® Dyna® platform to capture the pure essence of motorcycling; a brawny American V-Twin engine powering a bike with essential equipment and not much more. The Street Bob also serves as a great starting point for the rider intent on personal customization, which is now why it can also be personalized through H-D1™ factory customization. This web-based program allows customers to select factory-installed options that personalize fit, function and style in more than 2,000 combinations. New styling features include a black Twin Cam 96™ powertrain with highlighted details, blacked-out front end, clean rear fender with combination stop/tail/turn lighting and side-mount license plate, a round air cleaner and new scallop graphics in a two-tone paint option.


"Our focus for the Street Bob® model is always on street appeal," said Harley-Davidson Styling Manager, Tony Pink. "This bike is for the owner who would order a muscle car with the biggest motor and no radio. As part of this restyle, we cleaned off the rear fender, ditched the battery box trim, and bolted on a classic round air-cleaner cover. The goal is to create the elemental Big Twin that a Customer can define as his own. Then we selected an array of options for H-D1TM that allow the owner to take the Street Bob® [model] in many different stylistic directions."

The defining elements of the Street Bob® model are retained for 2013 - a solo seat, chopped rear fender, and mini ape-hanger handlebar give this motorcycle an unmistakable profile. New styling features include a black Twin Cam 96TM powertrain with highlighted details, blacked-out front end, chopped rear fender, a round air-cleaner, and new scallop graphics in a two-tone paint option.

Completely new and redesigned for 2013, now you can make a full sized Harley-Davidson into anything you want it to be. And guess what? It is the CHEAPEST full sized Harley-Davidson you can buy even if it still retains the 96 cu-in V-Twin.

But is that enough for it to top the Cool Wall or go down in flames?

It's so generic looking, hard to fathom this is actually a re-styled new model....

So here we are, just one week before Christmas so I guess that's why it's a bit slow around here. Right now, only 6 votes after this bike having been up for about 24 hours or so.

Well anyways, I can't help myself but vote Cool for this one. You guys know I'm not the biggest Harley Davidson fan, but this bike actually looks kind of cool, plus it's the biggest bike you can buy for the cheapest price AND it's customisable! I can't in my heart believe that this bike deserves an Uncool or Fail, even if you aren't a big H-D fan, just like me.

Fail, nothing remotely original or exciting with this tractor on two wheel, its yet just another variation of same old and tired theme that one has come to expect of HD. The last semi-exciting and semi-original thing to come out of the Motor Co was the V-Rod and many Harley riders don't even consider it to be a true Harley.

I don't see anything original about the design. I like the mag wheels and the yellow paint job, the red wheels are cool too. However, I can do that myself to any bike. Nothing about this bike speaks to me and it just seems more of the same. I like Harley's, but this restyling is bland.

I have a soft spot for Dynas. I always thought of them as the "engineered" H-Ds (first production H-D to be rubber-mounted, IIRC). Still, this restyling doesn't stand out at all. I voted cool only because it's not uncool.

I like this one. Bobbers in general are cool and when you can get one just for riding around on and not posing or flashing cash, then for me it gets a cool. It's kinda like an everyday Harley, one you can pull out the garage and go to the shops on for bread and milk.

Decidedly milquetoast, but not Uncool. Nothing in the styling or paint scheme really speaks to me. Just another Harley.

I'm with Ceemes. The V-Rod was the only Harley that made me sit up and take notice.

I am not really in love with the Dyna Street Bob stock look (at all!), but with Harley-Davidson offering "we make it how you want it" look and at the lowest big HD bike price, I think it's pretty darn awesome.
