The KingQuad lineage is important to Suzuki and it is important that the KingQuad 450 builds on the storied name. When the original KingQuad was introduced to the world in 1991, it was a revolutionary ATV. Revolutionary is a strong word but history has judged it to be true. At a time when solid rear axles were commonplace, Suzuki brought independent rear suspension and a locking front differential to the ATV world. At a time when a five speed transmission was the lap of luxury, KingQuad owners got the most innovative transmission on the market. High, low and super-low ranges gave the original KingQuad owners 15 drive options.
The original KingQuad delivered utility performance with comfortable trail manners. The original KingQuad established Suzuki in the ATV Market. The KingQuad 750 solidified Suzuki’s legacy to the industry. Now the KingQuad 450 sets the new standard for a whole class of ATVs.
The Suzuki KingQuad 450AXi 4X4 sets the standard for all-around performance in a 450-class ATV. With Suzuki’s class-leading electronic fuel-injection, the 450AXi’s powerful 454cc engine offers quick acceleration and outstanding torque. Fully independent suspension, a locking front differential and a sealed, multi-plate rear brake are just a few of its other top-line features.

Engine Features
Compact 4-valve cylinder head with large intake valves and straight intake ports for increased cylinder charging efficiency.
High capacity aluminum radiator with large diameter cooling fan for stable engine operating temperature.
A powerful 454cc, SOHC, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-stroke engine designed for a wide powerband provides strong performance.
Lightweight aluminum cylinder bore is electro-plated with Suzuki’s own race proven SCEM (Suzuki Composite Electrochemical Material) for improved heat transfer and tighter piston clearance.
Sportbike-derived chain-and-gear camshaft drive system allows a short/narrow cylinder head design and reduced overall engine height.
Suzuki fuel injection system, featuring high-performance motorcycle technology, provides excellent throttle response, fuel efficiency and quick engine starts under all operating conditions.
Uses a cylinder canted forward for lower center of gravity, reduced engine height and lower seat height.
Transmission Features
Digital instrumentation includes LCD readouts for speedometer, odometer, twin tripmeters, hour meter, clock, fuel gauge, driving range position and drive mode. LED indicator lamps for high, low, neutral, reverse and drive – 2WD/4WD and differential-locked 4WD.
Advanced engine brake system minimizes free-wheeling to reduce downhill speed.
Compact torque-sensing limited-slip front differential offers more powerful traction plus light steering effort. A differential-lock system provides serious four-wheel-drive traction.
Convenient handlebar-mounted push-button controls allow the rider to easily select between 2WD, 4WD and differential-lock 4WD to get the right setting for any traction condition.
QuadMatic™ CVT-type automatic transmission designed for maximum versatility and convenience – fender-mounted gate-type shifter operation for high/low forward ranges, plus neutral and reverse.
Sealed, multi-plate rear brake system, with a clutch-type design, provides high durability, offers reduced unsprung weight, and is low-maintenance

Independent double A-arm front suspension (7.1 inches of wheel travel) includes large diameter shock absorbers with 5-way spring preload adjustment.
