Editorial Guidelines
Our standards for accuracy, transparency, and trust at Total Motorcycle
Our Editorial Mission
At Total Motorcycle, our mission is to empower riders worldwide with accurate, unbiased, and accessible motorcycle knowledge. Since 1999, we’ve built trust with over 430 million readers by combining hands‑on riding experience, industry expertise, and a commitment to transparency.
How We Produce Content
- Original Reporting & Reviews: Written by experienced riders and editors with decades of combined riding experience.
- Industry Access: Accredited media for 40+ global manufacturers, with direct press materials, launches, and test rides.
- Community Contributions: Trusted rider submissions are reviewed and edited to meet our standards.
Fact‑Checking & Accuracy
Every article is fact‑checked against manufacturer specifications, official press releases, and authoritative sources. Technical data such as horsepower, torque, and MPG are verified against multiple sources before publication. If we cannot verify a claim to the best of our ability, we will not publish it.
Corrections & Updates
- Corrections Policy: Errors are corrected promptly and transparently. See our Corrections page.
- Update Notices: Significant updates (e.g., revised specs, regulatory changes) are clearly marked.
- Reader Input: Report corrections via our Contact Page.
Editorial Independence
We do not accept payment in exchange for favorable coverage. We do not post paid articles. Sponsored content, if any, is clearly labeled. Reviews reflect real rider experiences, not marketing spin.
