America and Speedmaster Range

Escape from routine at the twist of the throttle. Have the confidence to ride the roads you want, the way you want, for as long as you want. And always with a relaxed, elegant, high chrome style that looks good while you’re doing it. Welcome to the cruise.

Ride in comfort, arrive in style

Whatever the journey and wherever your destination, the relaxed, chilled-out elegance of Triumph’s Bonneville-based cruiser motorcycles give you all the excuse you need to go for a ride, any time, anywhere. Triumph Speedmaster – Long, low, blacked-out and mean, the hot-rod cool Speedmaster rocks the streets. Triumph America – The heart and soul of British engineering reinvented with a splash of Stateside style. Triumph America LT – The classic heritage tourer adds a laid-back, high chrome cruiser style vibe to Triumph’s signature dynamic ride.

Styling

Out on the streets your bike speaks volumes. It has to look just right; authentic, cool and classy. That’s why it’s easy to see Triumph’s classic cruisers, powered by the instantly recognisable Bonneville parallel twin motor, are the real deal. So relax, and let your Triumph do the talking.

Engine

Performance

With instant, fuss-free throttle response and great traction across the rev range, the 865cc parallel twin pumps out a full-blooded 72Nm of torque at a mere 3300rpm and peak power of 61PS at 6800rpm for a perfect balance of driving low-down and midrange performance.

Configuration

Packed with plenty of thumping good vibrations, the Bonneville-based parallel twin air-cooled engine design incorporates a 270° crankshaft with added balancer shafts to deliver a smooth, pulsating drive for a natural, responsive feeling.

Exhaust

A deeply distinctive exhaust note matches the motor’s relaxed drive, and is delivered through characteristic splayed header pipes exiting into either the twin, tapered cones of the America and America LT, or through the Speedmaster’s slash-cut silencers.

Engine

It looks the part, sounds right, feels great and delivers the goods. That’s because the Bonneville-based, air-cooled 865cc parallel twin is the real deal.

Chassis

Riding Position

Slide into an arm-chair riding position with a low seat, feet forward on the pegs (footboards on the America LT), hands wide apart on low, easy-reach bars. These are classic cruiser ergonomics, easy at low speed and comfortable when the pace increases so you can always enjoy the ride.

Frame

The Speedmaster, America and America LT use a traditional, high-strength tubular steel cradle frame and steel swingarm, integrating the air-cooled Bonneville-based engine as part of the design so it looks the part, but also delivers stable, sure-footed handling.

Brakes

A single 310mm disc at the front is backed up by a 285mm rear disc, with both gripped by Nissin calipers. The set-up perfectly balances a lean, cruiser look with plenty of confident stopping power and precise feedback in all circumstances.

Suspension

Raked-out, shallow angle forks and sturdy twin rear shocks don’t just look the part; they’re high quality KYB units with plenty of spring travel to soak up the worst bumps the roads can throw at them, always delivering a smooth, controlled ride whether you’re riding solo, with a passenger and/or luggage.

Handling

Low-slung, laid-back and long, the Speedmaster, America and America LT feature carefully tuned frame geometry and a manageable, balanced chassis for an intuitive riding feel and neutral steering. This means all riders on any tarmac can revel in Triumph’s safe, secure road holding.

Wheels/Tyres

Matching form and function, the America and America LT use cast aluminium 12-spoke wheels for heritage looks, while the Speedmaster opts for larger, 5-spoke cast aluminium wheels with a hot-rod vibe. The America and America LT also run chunky, deep sidewall tyres for classic cruiser style.

Accessories

Whether you want to uprate and personalise the performance, sound, feel, style or comfort of your bike, Triumph have the answer. From auxiliary lamps to boost night-riding and daytime visibility, to a glossy chrome-plated cam cover for extra style, to high-flow chrome silencers for enhanced performance and a richer exhaust note, to genuine leather panniers with generous, go-anywhere capacity – you can add whatever parts you need to make your bike complete for you.
