2026 Suzuki Burgman 400: PREMIUM SCOOTER OF CHOICE.

Introducing the 2026 Suzuki Burgman 400…

With crisp power and modern styling, the Burgman 400 sets the convenience and performance standard for mid-size scooters.

The 2026 Suzuki Burgman 400 brings unequaled styling, technical, and rider features that affirms its supremacy over its competitors. The Burgman’s strong and responsive 400cc engine is coupled with a rider-selectable Traction Control* system offering the rider peace of mind and excellent road-holding ability in a variety of road conditions.

Riders and passengers will enjoy the spacious and comfortable ergonomics as the large-diameter 15-inch cast front wheel and 13-inch rear wheel provide excellent handling while enhancing the Burgman’s visual appearance. Blending unmatched styling, engine, and chassis performance, along with confidence-inspiring rider aids, the Suzuki Burgman 400 continues as the premium scooter-of-choice for riders of all experience levels.

*The Traction Control System is not a substitute for the rider’s throttle control. It cannot prevent loss of traction due to excessive speed when the rider enters a turn and/or applies the brakes. Neither can it prevent the front wheel from losing grip.

2026 Suzuki Burgman 400 Totalmotorcycle.com Features and Benefits

Engine Features
The polished, 400cc, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, DOHC, single cylinder, fuel-injected engine delivers balanced performance with strong low- to mid-range torque providing powerful acceleration up to its peak horsepower in the upper RPM range.

The engine’s DOHC four-valve configuration allows ideal positioning of the intake and exhaust valves for superior mechanical advantages and efficient fuel combustion. The benefits can be felt in smooth, instantly available acceleration.

Designed with strong computing power, the Engine Control Module (ECM) provides quick and smooth operation of the Traction Control* system, as well as the Easy Start and Automatic Idle Speed Control (ISC) systems.

The engine’s tuning also increases the Burgman’s fuel economy, taking further advantage of the scooter’s low weight to extend the riding range of the generous 3.6-gallon fuel tank.

Transmission Features
The fully automatic CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) provides smooth, linear power delivery for comfortable riding, whether commuting, or touring on the open road, or when riding with a passenger.

The Burgman’s reliable performance is always available, whether commuting, touring on the open road, or when riding with a passenger.

Chassis Features
The Burgman 400’s telescopic front fork provides a generous 4.3 inches of wheel travel and the link-type, mono-shock rear suspension that delivers motorcycle-like handling with exceptional maneuverability.

A large 15-inch front wheel replaces the 14-inch wheel of the prior-generation scooter helping provide excellent stability and an enhanced visual appearance. The cast front wheel carries a pair of 260mm disc brake rotors while the 13-inch rear wheel has a 210mm hydraulic disc brake rotor, all ABS-equipped**.

An easy-to-operate, T-handle parking brake lever is located on the dash near the ignition switch to prevent rear wheel movement when engaged.

The ignition switch is fitted with a magnetic security cover that opens only with a correctly coded key.

Rider Aid Features
The Burgman’s Traction Control* system reduces slipping when taking off from a stop with the throttle fully open and helps reduce wheel spin on slippery or uneven road surfaces to maintain efficient forward movement.

The standard Anti-lock Brake System (ABS)** monitors wheel speed and helps match stopping power to available traction.

The Suzuki Easy Start System allows the Burgman to start quickly and easily with a momentary press of the starter button (the front brake must be applied for starter to function).

Body & Styling Features
The Burgman 400’s bodywork is both slim and sporty, matching the scooter’s agile personality.

Abundant luggage space includes a 42-liter, under-seat storage compartment, large enough for two helmets, plus two front compartments for small personal items. Convenient switchable under-seat lights illuminate the entire storage area. Helmet sizes and shapes vary, so some helmets may not fit in the under-seat compartment.

The front bodywork contains two storage compartments: a 2.8-liter compartment on the left and a 3.5-liter compartment on the right with a convenient DC power outlet for charging electric devices.

The plush, exquisitely sculpted two-up seat features a weather-resistant cover with a leather-like texture, enhancing the Burgman’s look of luxury.

Additional Features
A variety of Genuine Suzuki Accessories for Burgman owners are available, including a top case, taller windscreen, and a wide selection of Suzuki logo apparel. Twelve-month limited warranty, with longer coverage periods with other benefits are available through Suzuki Extended Protection (SEP).
