2026 Triumph TXP-16: CONTOL AND CONFIDENCE.
Introducing the 2026 Triumph TXP-16…
The Next Step in Confidence, Power, and Control
For riders aged 5 to 7, the TXP-16 builds on the foundation of the TXP-12 with increased power, upgraded suspension, and a slightly larger chassis. Its 765W 43V motor delivers more torque and a top speed of 19mph, while maintaining the smooth, predictable throttle feel that helps young riders develop control and confidence.
The TXP-16 introduces hydraulic disc brakes for stronger, more progressive stopping power, and features a scaled steel frame with a 720mm wheelbase for improved stability. Suspension travel increases to 80mm at the front and 90mm at the rear, supporting more adventurous riding across varied terrain. Like the TXP-12, it benefits from two-in-one modular setup, allowing riders to switch between seated and standing configurations in seconds.
Engineered for growing riders, the TXP-16 is just 26.2kg in weight in Trials set-up, providing light, agile handling. Ergonomics are carefully considered, with a 550mm seat height in Xplore mode and 450mm in Trials mode, ensuring easy footing and control. The simplified handlebar layout and child-specific controls make the TXP-16 approachable, while its advanced electronics, including APS and FOC, deliver consistent performance and efficient power management.

Triumph Motorcycles has announced the launch of its first electric youth motorcycles; the new Triumph TXP range, powered by OSET.
Since joining the Triumph family in 2022, the OSET team has been working alongside Triumph’s world-renowned design and engineering team to further develop their championship-winning trials technology. The new Triumph TXP range is the result of that collaboration; four new models with scalable electric performance, premium design, and built-in safety features.
Supporting riders at every stage of their development, from finding their balance to mastering technical terrain, each bike is engineered from the ground up with age-specific frames, geometry, controls, and components. Everything is scaled and optimised for the rider’s size and experience.
Building upon the proven foundation of OSET’s pioneering technology and enhanced by Triumph’s design and engineering expertise, the new TXP models feature a lightweight chassis, advanced rider ergonomics, a unique 2in1 modular set-up, and Triumph’s striking Performance Yellow and Graphite Black livery.
The new Triumph TXP range starts with the TXP-12 for children as young as three, followed by the TXP-16 and the TXP-20 for growing riders, culminating in the largest and most powerful TXP-24, which is ideal for children over the age of ten, teenagers and adults up to 90kg. Available to order now at selected Triumph dealerships around the world, with pre-Christmas delivery, the TXP range is the ultimate gift for adventurous families.
Each TXP model features a brushless motor for smooth, predictable power, scaled to rider age and experience. From the 600W TXP-12 to the 1600W TXP-24, the range delivers responsive torque with adjustable throttle response, speed, and power. Smart control systems include FOC (Field-Oriented Control), a motor management system that applies magnetic fields at optimal intervals to deliver maximum torque and smooth response, and Active Power Stabilisation (APS), that ensures consistent power output even as the battery depletes, maintaining peak performance throughout the ride. High-capacity lithium batteries feature IP67-rated waterproofing and diagnostic support for added reliability.
The TXP bikes are built on lightweight steel frames with age-specific geometry, two seat height options and child-friendly ergonomics. Suspension setups are scaled to rider size, with adjustable forks and shocks supporting growth and varied terrain. Each bike is designed to grow with the rider, with tool-free configuration changes and intuitive control layouts.
Braking systems range from cable-operated on the TXP-12 to four-piston hydraulic disc brakes on the TXP-24, ensuring safe, progressive stopping power. Each model is extensively tested in off-road environments and built to Triumph’s high standards, with premium specifications that mirror its full-size off-road motorcycles.
Robust safety systems ensure peace of mind for parents and create secure, confidence-building experiences for young riders. Age-appropriate controls and ergonomics to support safe, confident riding. Features include magnetic safety lanyards and PIN-protected parental speed controls, two-stage startup sequences and IP67-rated water-resistant electronics.
The TXP’s unique 2in1 modular design, features a removable seat and mudguard, enabling parents and riders to switch easily between seated off-road riding (XPlore mode) and standing trials-style (Trials mode).
Nick Bloor, Chief Executive Officer, Triumph Motorcycles said: “The TXP range represents an exciting new chapter for Triumph. Since bringing OSET into the Triumph family, we’ve blended our expertise to develop a range that’s not only technically advanced but also rooted in real-world riding experience. By combining our off-road race-winning engineering experience with OSET’s proven electric trials expertise, we have created a product line that can empower the next generation of riders.
“As a family business, I’m excited to see families riding Triumphs together, sharing the joy of motorcycling across generations. Riding an electric bike helps young riders develop motor skills, balance, and coordination, but it also builds confidence and a lifelong love for motorcycling.”
Ian Smith, OSET Founder added: “Being part of Triumph has given OSET the platform to scale our technology and reach new riders. The TXP range carries forward everything we’ve built, from trials championships to community riding. With the support of Triumph dealers across the world we can reach more families, support more communities, and continue to evolve the technology that’s helped thousands of young riders discover the thrill of two wheels. It’s about taking fun seriously, and building the future of the sport.”
